Facebook Facebook is a very interesting social phenomenon. The very next day after Jordan died, friends started posting messages to him on his Facebook page. They had such beautiful and touching words. Here are a handful of the many memories and comments that were left for him. Together they tell an important piece of the story that was Jordan's life.  And they help us remember what Jordan meant to so many people. Here is his Facebook page today:  Thabith Abdeen As many of you know by now, our good friend Jordan Burby passed away Easter morning at the age of 21. If there was anyone who could have overcame cancer, it was Jordan. But alas the opportunity never came. He left us but not without leaving an indelible impression on every single person he met. And I’m sure he would’ve left a lasting impression on this world, if he hasn’t already. The world lost a scholar, a thinker, and overall good person. I’m thankful for all the memories he left us with and will always cherish them. I hope this is a reminder for everyone to take care of themselves and treat each other well. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Chelsea Hogseth It was wonderful growing up with you. Good-bye. Narek Khachatryan You were an amazing human being, Jordan. I remember our random sleepover in middle school. I remember your witty humor at camp. I only have fond memories with you, but it seems like that is the case with everyone whose soul you've touched. God bless your family. Rest in peace. Carol Tsai Throughout high school, I would occasionally walk my cat over to the golf course across the street from my house to sit by the pond there and think about things. One brisk and clear night, I noticed a tallish figure standing near the pond, hands in pockets, head slightly bent over, as if deep in thought. When I got closer to the pond,... I realized it was Jordan. I asked him what on earth he was doing there at that hour (it might have been close to midnight?) and he responded flippantly that he should ask me and my cat the same thing. We laughed, and ended up talking for a while; it was one of the best midnight conversations I've ever had, thanks to Jordan's wit, insight, and profound humanity. We never really spoke much after that night, but I am thankful for having had the opportunity to glimpse into one of the most interesting souls I've ever met. Thank you Jordan, for silliness, thoughtfulness, and one of my earliest walks through the human experience. Valerie Michelle Reynolds i remember this one time i told you i knew how to play fleur de lis on the piano and i played the very tiny bit that i did know and u said to me that's it?? woman this is fluer de lis and you busted it out. truely honored i got to know you. Gina Higby I miss when we used to send flash drives full of music and back and forth to each other in the mail. And when we rode down Splash Mountain together and I made you sit in front of me so I wouldn't get wet. And pretending to be a rich couple on Laguna Beach at that restaurant. I miss you so much, but I know you are in an amazing place. I can't wait to see you again some day. I love you so much. Molly Lane Epstein Missing you every second. We were never all that close, but I often think of the encouragement you gave me my last year at camp. Being called intelligent by you was one of the highest compliments I have ever received.
