Jordan's Songs

Music was a very important part of Jordan's life. As he was growing up we tried to expose him to many different types of music. He took piano lessons from his grandmother for many years. He enjoyed exploring the Internet for new music. And he loved making CDs for friends and family with a selection of songs especially chosen for them. Below are a couple of songs chosen especially for him.

Last Cigarette Ever
This song was written and performed by Allison House. Ally wrote this for Jordan. We have enjoyed it a lot. When his dad had a long drive to and from work everyday and this song put many smiles on his face.

Ally is one of the the L.A. gang that meets in Cambria, CA a couple of times a year. (Jordan loved spending the fourth of July on the beaches of Cambria with these terrific young adults.) This group of long-time friends seemed to quickly welcome Jordan into their circle. Jordan loved the time he spent with them. A fellow Reedie, Ginger, (the blonde in front of Jordan) introduced him to the group. Allison is next to Ginger in the front.

We hope to add the lyrics here soon. We believe you will appreciate the emotion and sentiment Ally brings alive in this song. Thank you Ally.

I Can Only Imagine
This was the theme of Jordan's Celebration of Life Service. He sang this song in a Christmas Pageant one year. But this song was really an appropriate theme because Jordan had a wonderful imagination that served him well: from contemplating the big philosophical questions about life to getting lost in a st
ory by Isaac Asimov.

Here is the popular version by MercyMe.
